| I'm having frustration with Netflix today. I've been watching Doctor Who on DVD. I've made it through the first season and the first disk of the second season. I was planning on coming home today to find disk 2 and 3 in my mailbox along with a movie. That so didn't happen! The movie was there fine, but Doctor Who disk 4 was waiting and that was it. I made the executive decision that I was going to go ahead and watch disk 4 even though I hadn't seen the episodes on disk 2 or 3. I got half way through the first episode and the disk stopped playing I pulled the DVD out to clean it and realized there was a huge black burn mark on the back of it. So no Doctor Who for me today :( You don't want to know how long it took me to figure out how finagle my queue into sending me all the right replacements (I think Netflix thinks disk 4 is disk 2 and who knows where disk 3 went). | ||||

| *sighs* I'm kind of upset because I spent all this time on Sunday uploading fics to Walking the Plank just to have them all rejected because of the amount of grammatical errors. I know I suck at grammar stuff, I'll be the first to admit it (just read my journal), but all of my fics were beta read! Most of them by my darling Jean who is no longer with us, and perhaps she didn't do the best of jobs... But what to do now? Do I find another beta and edit fics that are several years old? Or do I say to hell with it and just archive elsewhere? I just can't decide how much I care... | ||||||

| *moans in pain* If this week was a war then the other guy won. Don't even ask, just know my ass got kicked. So last night I thought it'd be a good idea to have Chinese food and beer, because I was miserable and wanted Chinese food and beer. And the Chinese place even messed up my order so they gave me extra food. I got home and hour after I finished eating I remembered why I don't eat Chinese food and why I'm not supposed to drink alcohol. I had the worst fucking migraine. I went to bed early and I still feel all wobbly. Anyone want the leftovers? | ||||

| So I was I laying in bed yesterday morning trying to wake up for work and minding my own business when out of nowhere I was attacked by the most vicious plot bunny I've seen in a long time. I mean this thing was rabid (and I think slightly venomous), and it went straight for the jugular. Needless to say there wasn't much of fight (I didn't stand a chance!) So despite the fact that I worked most of the day yesterday, that I went out last night to say goodbye to a friend of mine who is lucky enough to be getting out of this town, and that I woke up this morning feeling like I got hit by a truck (reason #28 of why tequila shots are never a good idea, reason #17? bad karaoke)... what was talking about? Right, despite all of that I still managed to somehow write nearly 2,000 words this weekend. The fandom you ask? Chuck. Yes, Chuck. So I ask my friends list are there any Chuck fans out there? There must be someone, somewhere... | ||||||

| Part of my job involves visiting a lot of non-profits, schools, and health care facilities. One thing that I've noticed is that most of these places have signs in the bathrooms with step-by-step instructions on how to wash your hands. And I always find myself reading these instructions and wondering is there some great epidemic of people that don't how to wash their hands? Or are they afraid that I'm so dumb that I can't figure it out? And if I'm so dumb that I can't figure it out how to wash my own hands, am I really going to be smart enough to read the sign that explains it? The funny thing is I don't think that a single set of those instructions are actually the same... | ||||||

| I've been watching the Sara Connor Chronicles and even though I think the killer robots are very nifty I'm finding the show very confusing. I feel like I'm missing something. Now I've seen the Terminator movies, but it's been such a long time and I 'm feeling the overwhelming need to rent them and watch them again. Am I alone in this? P.S. | So you know what sucks? Working ten-hour days all week then going in on Saturday. *hates tax season* You want to know what makes it all better? I took off at about 2pm and went to the Apple store and bought myself a shiny new MacBook. Its black with 2GB of ram and a superdrive. Its very fancy and shiny. And the best part is that it doesn't take LJ like two minutes to load anymore! I spent all afternoon transferring files and all that good stuff. (it wasn't nearly as painful as I thought it was going to be, but it still did take forever). So what browser are people using these days? I used Firefox on my old computer, but I'm wondering if I should switch to something else- Safari is already installed... | ||||

And just forget watching YouTube... *headsdesk* The money has been saved, so officially I can't put this off anymore. The only question is what to buy? I really want this. | Shopping was very successful this weekend! So I actually have clothes to wear now! And they fit me! Yay! I also got my hair cut, and I was very fascinated by the shampoo they had in the salon. It was called "Sap Moss" shampoo. Now I don't know if any of you have ever gotten sap stuck in your hair, but I can assure you that it is not something that is in anyway pleasant. So I spent ten minutes in the waiting area wondering why anyone in their right mind would put the word "Sap" in the title of a shampoo, because I guarantee you it's not something I'd buy. As for the moss part of the title- that doesn't exactly bring up pretty images either. For my birthday I went out for a very fancy dinner to a Japanese steak house. It was a lot of fun and I had a big fancy drink and ate sushi. It was all very yummy! | ||||
